Mission Projects: This month there will be two appeals:
23 May—Special Mission Appeal to ‘aid India’s Covid 19 crisis.’
6 June—Our regular date which will go towards ‘Child Rescue’ in places such as Maynmar.
Community Lunch: 25th May 12 midday St Stephens church hall.
It is time to add your name to the list. Reach out to people you know
who would benefit from this 2 course meal and meeting with others. Cost of meal $10 per person Ph: Bev 686 1207, Sid 684 3478 or the office ph 686 0981
The support team require helpers to prepare food, set tables and of course Dishes.
Presbyterian Women:
Lunch Group Wed 19 May at St Stephens starting at 12.30pm with a shared Lunch. Guest Speaker: Briony Woodnorth of the T.D.C advising on updated requirements for items being placed in the Otto.

Yoga for Seniors on Chairs:
This ‘not on the floor’ exercise programme meets each Thursday at 2pm in Room 1 at Trinity. This is for men and women. Gold coin donation to assist with expenses is appreciated. Would you like to attend these classes? Or for more information, please contact Helen ph 684 6403 or 021 768 973.

Invitation to all women of the Parish: The Catholic Women’s League extends a warm invitation to our members to join them for their W.U.C.W.O. Day (World Union Catholic Women’s Organisation) on Thursday 20 May at 2pm in the Holy Family Parish Centre, Craigie Avenue. (South side of Basilica. New building). They look forward to our company.
Food Bank Items: Suggestions from Family Works. This is as well as the usual general sort of items: Deodorants, shampoo and conditioner for both men and women. Hand cream and soap. Items for children’s lunches may include: budget biscuits, muesli bars and small packets of potato chips that come in a large bag that include several flavours. Also spreads and 750g or less blocks of cheese. Thank you.
Bible Society Cheese-roll fund raiser: We will make our favourite cheese-rolls again this winter. Delivery will be on Sunday 20 June and Sunday 4 July. We will make them on Saturday 19 June and Saturday 3 July. As the price of cheese and bread went up we are selling them now for $7.00 a doz, 3 doz for $20.00 and 4 doz for $25.00. 5 doz for $30.00 Please order them in church or from Evi (phone 684 5399, email mama@newfrankland.org) or through the office.
The Timaru District Choir presents Fauré Requiem a peaceful, reflective and melodic musical work. Composing of seven pieces and enhanced by Trinity’s pipe organ, this powerful piece of music inspires hope and peace in troubled times. Supported by many other wonderful choral pieces of classical favourites through to American spirituals. As a dedication to the challenges of the last year the Timaru District Choir along with other guest artists offer a wonderful afternoon of music, showcasing the wonderful talents of our community. The concert is to be held on 12 June at 2pm at Trinity Church on College Road. Tickets are available at the door for the cost of $15.
