Thought For The Week 30 August 2020
Who would have thought when we had our last A.G.M that we were about to embark on the year we have just had.
For some of us it has been a chance to get those chores done we never get around to, a space for rest, reflection and renewal but for many it has been very stressful – people alone, with failing ill health. People not able to be with their loved ones who are ill or dying. People not able to grieve properly or say goodbye. People unemployed and not able to pay the bills or buy food for their family.
So in the light of this what is our vision form the coming year?
As people of strong faith we turn to God for answers.
In Romans 12, it is written; Love. Hate. What is evil, cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another Brotherly/Sisterly love.
Honour one another above yourselves keep your spiritual fervour serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Share with God’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.
May you always feel the unconditional love the God offers you.
