Thought For The Week 31 May 2020
This Sunday is Pentecost Sunday. We are emerging slowly out of lockdown. At Level four we basically had to stay at home, doing things around our house and garden. We had to find different ways to connect with our family and friends to retain the level of relationship that we had always had, but in this time there was also a third dimension to our being—God’s Loving Spirit, guiding and protecting us.
The Lockdown was a space where we had time to really listen to what God was saying to us, to look at the gifts in his spirit he has given us personally, for us to use in his name.
We are all different, with our own unique talents, but all one in God’s loving spirit.
As we begin our “new normal” Journey may we celebrate the gifts God has given us to share with one another and find new ways to offer those gifts to further strengthen our relationships with one another and with God.
On my fridge I have a magnet that says “Life begins at the end of you comfort zone”
In God we can step out of our comfort zone, expand our horizons and let God take us on a new journey of Faith and Hope.
May God Bless you all.
