Judith Begg shared the devotion from Psalm 40: I waited patiently for the Lord; he turned to me and heard my cry. We can take heart that God keeps his promises. Trust that God is with us and will guide us.
The Timaru Presbyterian Parish has applied for and been granted the wage subsidy from the MSD. We are continuing to pay all staff their full wages.
Parish council have been adopted the finalised reviewed financial account to June 30 2019.
Trinity Kitchen project
Parish council reviewed the project so far and have given the property group permission to continue working on this project and to obtain comparative quotes.
This project will be brought to a congregational meeting in due course.
The Parish Council has appointed Lois Shipley to the role of Pastoral Elder. The Pastoral Elder will work closely with the ministry team, the parish clerk and pastoral team and will be responsible to the Parish Council. We will commission Lois into this role at a future combined service.
We have welcomed around 100 people watching our worship@ home services on Youtube each Sunday and then some joining in on zoom for a video chat.
Church will be worship @home online on the 17th of May.
Parish council will meet to discuss how our worship services will look and what health and safety procedures we will adopt as we move down alert levels on 13th of May.
The Parish council spent some time on a discussion document from the Alpine Presbytery. This encouraged us to consider how this time of worshiping differently and the challenges and opportunities the past few weeks of lockdown have presented to us as individuals and the parish as a whole.
