Thought For The Week 9, September 2018

Welcome to our services of worship today. We are especially pleased to have Rev Shona Bettany from Waimate ministering at St Stephen’s this morning. Shona is filling in for me as I am in Ashburton for the St James parish AGM. It’s also a special celebration of spring flowers at Trinity this morning with our annual flower service, which brings the glory of creation in all its colour and scent right into our worship space. Special thanks to all those who contribute their talents to this service.
Speaking of Spring, remember we have our annual plant sale at St Stephen’s this Saturday, 9am. This is one of our major fundraising events, but more importantly it is an opportunity to welcome the community into our place and encourage the great and healthy activity of gardening. The South School Pasifika group will also be performing so you won’t want to miss that!
To make it work we need you! Can you help by manning a table? If so please contact Murray Facer, 686 1629. Also needed are small boxes such as shoe boxes as we will have very few plastic bags for people to take goods home in. We look forward to another successful plant sale.
Blessings
Brent Richardson
