Weekly Notices 19 August 2018
Operation Christmas Boxes: Thank you once again to those who supported this last year. We will once again be supporting the project this year. Each box is to contain something to wear, something to play with, something for school, something to love, something special and something for personal hygiene for boys and girls in ages 2-14 years. The boxes from New Zealand generally go to an Asia or Pacific Island country. You are all invited to support this by providing items or make a donation towards the transport costs of $10 a box. A box will be in each foyer for you to put in the items or leave the donation. Some OCC shoe boxes will be obtained. For further information contact Judith Begg Ph 688 6004

Christian Superstore: 102 Stafford Street, Timaru August has come and for me I am finding it speeding past. The flowers are showing alongside the weeds reminding me that we get both the good and the bad and it is up to each one of us to prune, trim and reflect on the beauty around us. We have many wonderful DVD’s in store that explore the hardships and the good that can come from them.
“Broken” is inspired by the Tarore sacrificial story. “I’m not Ashamed” explores Combine’s High School’s inspirational Rachel Scott. “God’s not Dead; A Light in the Darkness” the third in the acclaimed collection of recognising God’s reality in our life. “Paul Apostle of Christ” explores the story of the beginning of the church era “The Way”. These DVD’s range in price from $24.99. Influential and inspiring reminders of who we are in Christ and who Christ is in us.
We also have a wonderful selection of miniature scripture gift books that fit well into envelopes for small gifts from $6.99. So may we in all of these options available at your local Christian Superstore Timaru offer these words “Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the Lord.” Psalm 31:24.
Giving Everything that we have is a gift from God.
