Presbyterian Womens Lunch Group:  Wed 18 July, Mitre 10 Mega Café, 12.30pm.  Come and enjoy someone else’s food and maybe shop!  RSVP to Alison 688 4317 or Dianne 686 0440 by Friday 13 July.

Bible Society Quiz—Sunday 15 July at 2pm: At the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Rathmore St, Timaru. Scripture portions to be studied are Genesis 12-18 and Galatians. Form a team of 3-4 people and come and have fun with us. Afternoon tea is provided. Cost: $5pp, under 16 free.   Contact Evi 684 5399 or Alexia  Bensemann at the Christian Bookshop.

Superkids Holiday Programme:  17, 18, 19 July.  Please pray for the children attending and the leaders and helpers running the programme.  To those who responded so well to a request for craft materials.  We now have enough lovely bits & pieces to well meet our need. Thankyou from the Team.

Things that matter: Friday nights from 7.30pm till 8.30pm at St Mary’s Anglican Church. First session 20 July:  Purpose: Do our lives have a meaning.  Refreshments: Coffee/Tea/light refreshments provided.  Cost: (Koha/Gold coin Donation accepted) See poster in Church Foyer.

College Road Roster:  We need more people to serve morning tea on Sunday, July 22nd (one), August 12th (one).  If you can help please phone either Mollie  688 3355 or the Office  686 0981.

Winter Lunches:  Our next Winter Lunch will be held on Tuesday 24 July at St Stephens Church hall starting at midday. We invite members of our community to join us in this two course meal.  There is a charge  of $7.  Please contact Bev Ph 686 1207 or Carol Ph 688 8025.

Winter Knitting:  Thank you to everyone who has donated wool and has created hats, slippers and other creations for children at Kowhai and Hanan kindergartens.  We took 2 boxes worth after 10 June and will be taking a second collection after 22 July.  Keep up the good work.

Eat Well volunteer request:  we are looking for someone to help with pick up time at the Trinity Centre on Tuesdays from  approximately 2.30-4pm. You may be able to help once a month or a fortnight to go on a roster. Contact Andrea if interested or if you have questions, 686 1575.

Plant Sale 15 September at St Stephen’s:
Now is the time to be potting up the little plants so we can have a really great Plant Sale.  Please look around your garden for good plants for this amazing sale.  Thanks.  Murray 686 1629.

Mission Project:  Bucket Mission and the Retiring Offering last week raised $284.70 to support 24/7 Youth Work at Mountainview High School.

  • July is also known as Bible Society Bible Month, we have a great selection of Bibles. If your Bible is not there then we will do our best to      locate your preferred option.
