Mission Project: The Retiring Offering at Trinity and the Bucket Mission at St Stephens this morning will be for the work of Christian World Service.
Presbyterian Women present ‘A Christmas Gathering’, on Thurs 7 Dec at St Stephens 11.30–2pm. Please bring Luncheon food to share, dessert will be provided. Christine Lloyd will be speaking on her time working on the Mercy Ship. Men are welcome to share this time of fellowship.

Hanukkah Celebration – Sun 17 December 7pm at Gleniti Baptist Church. Come and hear the story of the battle to retake the Jerusalem temple by the Maccabees. Mission Group News: A big Thank You for all your generous donations of toiletries for the Women’s Refuge. Five large cartons are to be delivered to them.
‘Buy & Supply’ is now up and running again at both churches. From now, till the end of December the money collected will go towards much needed uniforms for the Boys’ Brigade. Please support the Mission Group’s latest initiative as either a buyer or supplier and help this needy cause.
‘Eatwell’ will finish for the year on Tuesday 19 December, and resume on Tuesday 9 January 2018. New customers are always welcome. Ring the office for details – phone 686 0981.
All are very welcome at the Timaru Hospital Carol ‘Sing-a-long’ at 6:45pm in the hospital chapel on Mon 18 Dec – all ages, all singers, family, friends etc all welcome! Bring a Christmas costume if you like, and some are provided!

Christian Superstore – 102 Stafford Street
We have a great selection of children’s books that recognise the advent season, Christmas cards that share the joy of why Christ came to earth and calendars that are ready for the new year. We also have Gift vouchers available for those who are hard to buy for. These can be used both here and in Christchurch and any Christian Bookshop Association stores. The Superstore is going to be open later till 5.30pm on weekdays during the month of December to help those of us who are enjoying the beautiful longer sunny days. We are also open between Christmas and New year for those last minute gifts. So please come and take a breather at the Christian Superstore during this busy time while you consider the Reason for the Season. “
