Bucket Mission:

The Bucket Mission this month is for  Family Works Programme, raising funds to support “Grandparents raising Grandchildren”.  Put your coins/notes aside and bring along next week and join in the Bucket of Fun.

Boys & Girls Brigade: 

Kindling available all year round, for sale $10 a sack.  See sacks in the St Stephens Foyer.  Contact:  Fiona 688 0375 or see me at church.

‘Joyful in Hope’ Prayer Walk: 

An updated map, in the foyer, is ready for you to colour in the streets where you have walked and prayed.  Lets get this city covered.

AGM:

The Annual General Meeting will be held on Sunday 30 November. Reports are to be provided to office by 5 November. The booklet will be in the Church Foyer on the 16 November.

Prospective Members for Parish Council:

Suggestions for prospective members of Parish Council are to be advised to the Parish Clerk by the 3 November 2025. The Parish Council will go through a discernment process to consider these suggestions in view of the current        make-up of the council and the governance needs of the parish.

The Parish Council will put forward names for nomination to a congregation meeting, with 80% approval threshold being required.

Church Lunch Out:

You are invited to join us for lunch at The Bay Hill Brewery Bar (Monteiths), 54 The Bay Hill at 12 noon on Sunday 16 November.  A clipboard will be passed around during the service for you to add your name to, if you are wanting to go, or contact Neville with numbers on phone 021 127 0975 by Wednesday 12 November.

Dear people of Timaru Presbyterian:

Thank you so much for the cards, greetings and gifts generously given on the occasion of my special birthday.

I acknowledge all the work that went into my morning tea to make it a memorable occasion, to the people who prepared the food, the birthday cake, the people who worked in the kitchen on the day and all those who attended thank you very much.  It was much appreciated and has left lovely memories for me to cherish.

From the ‘Resourcing for Others’ group:

• Harvest Table:

A big thank you to all the contributors to this month’s Harvest Table – we raised $117 for the Fred Hollows Foundation. The final Harvest Table will be raising funds for the  ‘Timaru Community Christmas Lunch’ event to be held in the Caroline Bay Hall.  Let’s make it a bumper donation!

• November Bucket Mission:

               This will be for the Family Work’s Programme ‘Grandparents raising Grandchildren’. Remember this monthly event is held on the second Sunday of the month.
