Combined Worship on Sunday 1 September at St Stephens at 10.30am followed by the Budget Approval meeting:  Copies of the Draft Budget for the 2024/2025 year are available on the table in Church Foyers.
Come at 10am for a cuppa.

Community Lunch:  
Our last lunch for the winter series will be 27 August at 12noon at St Stephens church hall.  To book your place at the   table Please phone Bev 686-0858 or the Church office phone 686-0981.  We will return on 26 November for our Christmas Meal.

Empty Toilet Paper Rolls are needed to make seedling pots for a children’s activity at the Plant Sale. Please save up your empty rolls and place them in the box in the church foyer. Thank you for your help!

Mission Project:  Sunday 1 September:  
We are raising funds for Eat Well.  Put your coins/notes aside and bring along next week and join in the Bucket of Fun.

Alpine Presbytery Newsletter: 
Keep up to date on what is happening in our Alpine Presbytery.  A few copies of the Newsletter are being placed on the table in Foyers each week.  Pick up a copy, you might find something of interest in it.  If you are not on our email list and would like a copy emailed, please contact our office  phone 686 0981.

Plant Sale—Saturday 14 September at the St Stephens Church complex:
Pots are required — pots filled with plants and empty pots.  Leave at church.  Any questions or queries, please contact:    Murray phone 686 1629.

Baking & Preserves Sales Table:
Alongside the Annual Plant Sale, planned for Saturday 14 September 2024, we are again running the Baking and Preserves Sales Table.

We know you have green fingers and are busy potting up your favourite flower plants,  but some of you also have “golden fingers” when it comes to your amazing baking skills.

We would love you to “tempt our tastebuds” again with your favourite homemade baking treats, savoury goods and preserves.   There is nothing nicer than  enjoying a homemade cookie with your cuppa…..

Perhaps you would prefer to supply some baking ingredients (butter/sugar/fruit) or offer a monetary donation to assist  someone else create a delicious treat?

Please leave any ingredients/money at the Church Office, or in either College/Wai‑iti Rd Church foyers (labelled “Baking Stall”)  If possible, before  Sunday  8 September please.

Floral posies for Upcoming Plant Sale:  Diane, Joy and Elaine will be making the very   popular floral posies for our upcoming plant market soon.  They need Leucodendrons, Proteas and Spinning or Silver Dollar Gum stems (as long as possible). If you can help please deliver your contribution to, 46 Morgan’s Road on Thursday 12 September. Thank you for your help.

Operation Christmas Child:
You are all invited to support this by providing goods or filling your own box or making a donation.  Each box is to contain a fun toy, clothing, school supplies, hygiene item and a “wow” item for boys and girls in ages 2-14 years.  Please remember to include the transport cost of $12.50 per box if you complete a box.  Boxes will be at each venue to put the goods in.  There will also be some ideas for gifts.  Final date for collection is 1 October 2024.  For further information contact Linda phone 688 9366.
