Sunday 27 August—Combined Worship at 10am, morning tea at 9.30am at St Stephens followed by Congregation meeting to approve the 2023-2024 Budget.

Mission Project:  Last Sunday we raised a total of $265.10 for CWS—Food For Life. Many thanks to all the contributors.

New World Stickers : Collecting again for  Family Works. Please leave at Trinity Church in the Foyer or at the Office.

Presbyterian Women Lunch Group:  Will be  held on Wed, 16 at St Stephens, Wai-iti Road 12.30pm commencing with a shared lunch.  Sales Table.

Guest Speaker: Ruby Bowman 24/7 YouthWork S C Regional Co-ordinater (working with schools to help children needing a  little bit of help.  Apologies or rides please contact Dianne 686 0440, Dawn 686 0595 or Robyn 688 1948.

Community Lunch:  Tues 22 August 12noon at St Stephens Church Hall. We welcome our regulars and invite new comers to a two course meal. To book your place please ph Bev 686 0858, or the church office ph 686 0981. Cost $12   payable at the door.

Operation Christmas Boxes:  This parish will once again be supporting the project this year. Each box is to contain something to wear, something to play with, something for school, something to love, something special and something for personal hygiene for boys and girls in ages 2-14 years. If you wish to fill a box please  ensure you cover the transport cost.     Or you can provide goods or a donation towards the transport costs and place in the box in the foyer of each church.  Further info contact Judith Ph 688 6004.

Church Life Survey:  This is a nationwide survey of church attenders, run every 5 years.  Please participate in the Church Life Survey. Our church is part of this nationwide survey of church attenders. This is a confidential opportunity for you to have your say on the life of our church and be heard by our leaders. Can you take 10-15 minutes to fill it out by 27 August 2023?  The survey is available to any attender aged 15+ in our parish. You can access the Survey by:

Bible Society:  Sunday, 20 August, we have the privilege to welcome Steve McRobie,
Relationship manager with the Bible Society NZ, here in Timaru. Therefore we invite you and your congregation and friends to a Soup and Savoury evening at 6pm at St Stephen’s Church, Wai-iti Rd. Entry by donation. Please make this event known among your friends and members of your congregation.

What God is up to in our Neighbourhood?  Luke Blackbeard is running a five session study and observation/listening group for one of his KCML assignments.

If you enjoy walking around your neighbourhood and are interested to explore what God is already up to in our community then this could be for you.

The first session is a no-obligation introduction (with coffee and cake) at St Stephen’s on Thursday 17 August, 7pm-8.15pm

Plant Sale, Saturday 16 September at St Stephens.  Now is the time to pot up those plants.  Look around your gardens to find cuttings to pot up as they need roots. Contact Murray 686 1629.

Also: Whilst nurturing your seedlings for the plant sale, hope you have had a chance to look through your favourite recipes with the baked goods stall in mind?  If your baking skills are a little rusty, perhaps you might like to offer a monetary donation or baking ingredients instead?  Thank you for your help – Any questions/queries, please ring Sandra (03 688 3619 or                  027  3619 – evenings).
