Mission Project 3 April – Supporting    Christian World Service Ukraine Crisis    Appeal.  War in Ukraine has forced hundreds of thousands of people to flee in fear of their lives since attacks began on 24 February.  UNHCR  reports 2.7 million people have already fled Ukraine and many more are on their way.  The United Nations is predicting up to 6 million people will soon be in need of humanitarian assistance.

“CWS are supporting the work of ACT  Alliance members in Ukraine and neighbouring countries: the Czech Republic, Hungary, Moldova, Poland, Romania, Russia and Slovakia.  ACT members are distributing food, water, hygiene supplies and blankets as well as cups of tea and psychosocial support for people approaching the borders and new arrivals.  Members are running information and resettlement hubs, overnight shelters, and recreational  facilities for children.

Together with the World Council of Churches, we urge all member churches and organisations, as well as all people of good will around the world to join us in prayer for peace for the people of Ukraine and the region.”

Need personal prayer?  TPP Prayer Chain Branches:  Rosalie 684 5878, Heather 684 3847, or Marj 684 4953.  All requests  confidential.

Covid 19—What to do if you test positive:

We would ask that if you do test positive and have been at church or any group    using our facilities that you please contact the church office so we can spread the word, stay alert to any symptoms and   isolate cases as needed.

If you test positive for Covid-19:

· You must self-isolate and stay at home or your

accommodation, unless a health professional tells you otherwise.

· You can only leave to get medical care or in an emergency.

· You cannot have visitors.

· Tell people you spent time with from 2 days before you started having        symptoms or tested  positive.

Mission Group : It’s time to get those knitting needles clicking again!
We have been advised by Family Works that they would really appreciate some winter knitting again. Perhaps you can help?       Here are their suggestions:
– Baby Singlets.     – Fingerless gloves (for children)  – Jerseys (3 – 10year olds).      Slippers and socks  – all sizes        – Cot size or single bed size blankets.
Due to the big demand for food parcels, Family Works are in need of empty egg cartons  – 6’s and 12’s to refill. These can be put in the food bank box, or near by.
At the moment Family Works are making up food boxes for those folk isolating from COVID. They need good used magazines to be included in the boxes. There will be a labelled carton in each church foyer for these.

Live Streaming:  10.30am service at St Stephens
