Thought For The Week 24 November 2021

Here we are at Labour Weekend again, a time when many of us in New Zealand think towards springtime and our plans for new life in the garden. It’s also a time for spring cleaning for clearing out the detritus that inevitably builds up in our everyday lives.
As Christians our hope is found in the new life that we find in Jesus.
Just as our gardens and homes need a good clean out every now and again, so too, the burdens and worries of this life can build up in our spiritual and emotional lives.
So as we go through this Spring season, I invite you to reflect on this question:
What burdens and worries have you been carrying around that it is time to let go of in order for the new life of Jesus to take root?
