Mission Projects:  This month,  two appeals:

Today: Special Mission Appeal to ‘aid India’s Covid 19 crisis.’

6 June—Our regular date which will go  towards ‘Child Rescue’ in places such as Maynmar.

Community Lunch:  25th May 12 midday  at St Stephens church hall.  Add your name to the list. Reach out to people you know who would benefit from this 2 course meal and meeting with others. Cost of meal $10 per person. Ph: Bev  686 1207,  Sid   84 3478 or the office  ph 686 0981. The support team require helpers to  prepare food, set tables and of course Dishes.

Do your bread tags end up in the rubbish bin?   Instead, help save the environment by   dropping them in the designated jar in the foyer.  Money raised will provide wheelchairs in South Africa.

Alpine Presbytery Newsletter:  Keep up to date on what is happening in our Alpine          Presbytery.  A few copies of the Newsletter are being placed on the table in Foyers each week.  Pick up a copy, you might find something of interest in it.  If you are not on our email list and would like a copy emailed, please contact our office  ph    686 0981.

Rev. Brian Gilmour,  who was the Minister at St Pauls for a time has sent us some copies of his autobiography called “Nothing Is Impossible”    It is the story of his life Journey in Australia and New  Zealand.  Copies are available for sale at $35.00. Please ring the Church Office or Lois 684 7511 if you are interested in    buying a copy.

House wanted For Rent: required the 14th of June. We have a cat and a 2 bedroom house amount of furniture but we could sort out a storage unit if a smaller place was available. We can pay up to $380 per week. Contact Lauren on 027 8229 250 or my husband Zach on 027 741 3356.

Bible Society Cheese-roll fund raiser: We will make our favourite cheese-rolls again this winter. Delivery will be on Sunday 20 June and Sunday 4 July. We will make them on     Saturday 19 June and Saturday 3 July.  As the price of cheese and bread went up we are selling them now for $7.00 a doz, 3 doz for $20.00 and 4 doz for $25.00. 5 doz for $30.00 Please order them in church or from Evi (phone 684 5399, email mama@newfrankland.org) or through the office..

Mission group have a message from Family Works that they are in need of cot blankets and jerseys, as well as knitted slippers.  If you are interested in knitting a cot blanket, or part of, here is the pattern:  Easy Cot Blanket Pattern: Wool – Double knitting,  Needles – No 8,  Cast on 40 stitches.  Work 60 rows in garter stitch.  Change colour and repeat until 6 colours have been knitted. Repeat until you have 5 strips. Join strips

The Timaru District Choir presents Fauré Requiem a peaceful, reflective and melodic       musical work. Composing of seven pieces and enhanced by Trinity’s pipe organ, this   powerful piece of music inspires hope and peace in troubled times. The concert is 12 June at 2pm,Trinity Church on College Road. Tickets available at the door for $15.
