Mission Project:  Next Sunday 7 July we will be raising funds for the Aoraki Health  Shuttle, which is a new service here.  This aims to relieve pressure on busy ambulance staff to help local residents get to important health appointments in Christchurch.

Good Companions: Will meet 11 July at 2pm in St Stephens lounge.  Speaker:  Rosie Staite will speak on her work as a Celebrant and her new book.

Cultural Dinner:  We are off to  Sri Lanka on  Saturday 13 July.  Tickets are available at the office at $15pp to be purchased by 12pm on Thursday 11 July.  Surplus  money raised is to go to The Mission Group Budget.  If you would like to assist with cooking, preparing, or clean up please put your name on the clipboard.

Bookings of Rooms in Both Complexes:  Please remember to check with the Office and book in your group before you  advertise it.  This prevent double bookings.  Phone 686 0981.

The Bible Society of Timaru presents. QuizTime! A new family-friendly event for young and old! No prior study needed – just bring Bibles. Sunday 14th July, 2pm – 3pm, Wilson Street Baptist Hall. Bring & Share Lunch starts at 1pm for those who love to eat and fellowship. We’re raising funds for Bibles in South East Asia. $5 per person, $20 per family. Either pre-arrange your church team (up to 6) or come along and join a team. Plant Sale:  At Stephens on 14 September starting at 9am.  Flower plants, vegetable plants, all the usual stalls, and some  surprises.  More details later.  Contact:  Murray 686 1629.

Life Church presents two LifeKey courses:

  • Search for Life—10 weeks beginning on Monday 22 July at 9.30am or Tuesday 23 July at 7pm.
  • Kids with Courage—7 weeks for children aged 8 to 11 beginning on Friday 9 August at 5.15pm

Timaru District Choir and the Geraldine Community Choir have joined together for the winter season of choir music. Come along and enjoy an afternoon of journeying with us through these movies along with our variety of guest artists.  Tickets:  $15 adult, $8 children with refreshment following. The two concerts will be held on Saturday 27 July at 3pm at Trinity Church, College Road, Timaru or St Mary’s Church, Talbot Street, Geraldine at 3pm on 28 July..

CWCI Annual Movie Event –  (Christian Women Communicating International)

Ladies Winter Movie night. 2nd August at 7pm.  $10.00pp.  Wilson Street Baptist Hall, 17 Wilson Street.  Munchies and light supper provided.

2nd Greatest is a Christian Drama inspired by the incredible true stories set in Golden Colorado about how the “Golden Rule” changed a community forever!

We will also have Tamara Hughes, a new believer, sharing on Gods amazing love in her life and what He has done for her.
