Thought For The Week 5 October 2025

Welcome to Worship
Ata marie, and a very warm welcome to our worship service this morning. I pray that you have had a good week and that you are ready to join together in fellowship and praise.
As we gather today, let us remember that Jesus, our Lord, is King over all the earth. Psalm 96 encourages us to declare His glory among the nations and His marvelous deeds among all peoples. We are not alone in our worship; He is with us, and so are literally millions of our brothers and sisters in Christ around the world.
Today is World Communion Sunday, a special time when we come together in the Spirit of unity to reflect on the wonderful diversity within the body of Christ. It is an opportunity to consider our place, our purpose, and how we can declare God’s praises to a hurting and wounded world. As we join in worship, we remember that we, as the Church, are united in Christ and share in this journey together.
Jesus has conquered sin, hell, and death—this is truly good news. The Gospel, though sometimes seen as foolish or scandalous by the world, it is the life-changing message we are called to share. It transforms hearts and minds and remains as powerful today as it was 2,000 years ago, when it first turned the world upside down. It is the beginning of the new creation transformed and renewed through the power of Jesus resurrection.
As we worship together this morning, let us open our hearts to God’s presence, celebrate His goodness, and allow our spirits to be lifted. May God bless each one of us as we join together in fellowship and praise.
