Operation Christmas Child: The shoe boxes have arrived! You are all invited to support this by providing goods or filling your own box or making a donation. Each box is to contain a fun toy, clothing, school supplies, hygiene item and a “wow” item for boys & girls ages 2-14 years. Please remember to include the transport cost of $12.50 if you fill your own box. Boxes are in the foyer to put the gifts in. Also some ideas for gifts. ‘Joyful in Hope’ Prayer Walk:
An updated map, in the foyer, is ready for you to colour in the streets where you have walked and prayed. Lets get this city covered.

Plant & Bake Sale:
The Plant & Bake Sale raised is total of $4,867.20. Thanks everybody.
Yoga for Seniors on Chairs:
This is ‘not on the floor’ exercise programme meets each Thursday at 2pm in the Hall at the Trinity Community Centre. This is for men and women. $3 donation to assist with expenses is appreciated. Trinity Community Garden needs you!!!!
We need people to take a turn to be at the gardens on a Tuesday 2.30pm. Weeding, planting, watering are the tasks, we just need a few people to give 90 minutes of their time once a month!!! Contact Helen if you can help Ph 021 768 973.
Family Works Food Bank:
The Food bank gratefully receives all general sorts of items and can include the following:
- Shampoo, conditioner & Deodorants, for both men and women.
- Hand cream and soap.
- Items for children’s lunches may include: budget biscuits, muesli bars and small packets of potato chips that come in a large bag that include several flavours.
- Spreads
- 750g or less blocks of cheese.
Changes of Address etc: Please advise the church office of any changes.
Honouring Survivors: A public apology to survivors of abuse in Presbyterian Church care:
The Presbyterian Church of Aotearoa New Zealand will deliver a public apology to survivors of abuse that occurred while in its care.
Survivors, whānau and supporters are warmly invited to attend. Full details are provided in the flyer on the noticeboard or on the table in the Foyer.
The apology will be delivered at two public events, which have been designed alongside survivors:
Dunedin – Saturday 27 September, 12pm, Otago Museum
Auckland – Saturday 4 October, 10am, Due Drop Events Centre
The Moderator for the Presbyterian Church of Aotearoa New Zealand, Right Rev Rose Luxford, will deliver the apology. Following that, details of the Church’s new survivor-designed holistic redress process will be outlined by Convenor Katerina Solomona.
Videos of both events, which will include NZ Sign Language, will be made available on the PCANZ’s website.
The apology will also be available in Te Reo Māori on the website.
