A Change of Plan – Bucket Mission – We have all been really shocked and upset by the scenes on our TV screens recently of the floods that have devastated the Nelson and Marlborough area. The Resourcing for Others Group have decided to send the funds raised at our next Bucket Mission to help with the huge clean-up. This will be on Sunday 3 August.

The planned collection for the Christchurch Cancer Centre has been rescheduled to the first Sunday in September.

New World Stickers for Smeg Kitchenware:  Please drop your surplus stickers into the box on the table in the Foyer.  The stickers will be used to redeem items that will be given to Family Works for allocation.

Boys & Girls Brigade: Kindling available all year round, for sale $10 a sack.  Contact:  Fiona 688 0375 or see me at church.

Operation Christmas Child boxes: The parish has been supporting this for many years. Judith Begg and Linda Fraser have been leading this but they are no longer able to continue doing this. If there is anyone willing to lead this please speak to Judith at church or
phone 688 6004.

Monthly Lunch:  Sunday 17 August 12 noon.  This time at “The Old Bank” Cnr Stafford and Church Streets.  A clip board will be handed around during the Service or phone office 686 0981 or Ken 027 935 9587 by Wednesday 13 August.

Family Works Food Bank: The Food bank gratefully receives all general sorts of items and can include the following:

  • Shampoo, conditioner & Deodorants, for both men and women.
  • Hand cream and soap.
  • Items for children’s lunches may include: budget biscuits, muesli bars and small packets of potato chips that come in a large bag that include several flavours.
  • Spreads
  • 750g or less blocks of cheese.

Plant & Bake Sale – Saturday 13 September at the St Stephens Church complex:  It is time to start thinking about what plants you can pot up, so that they have roots by the Plant Sale date.  Any questions or queries please contact Murray ph 686 1629

Grapevine Magazine:  There are several copies of the Grapevine Magazine on the table in the Foyer.  There are lots of interesting articles in it.  Take and read.
