Thought for The Week 6 July 2025

Welcome to our services today. It is lovely to be back among familiar faces after a 10-day break on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland. Many thanks to Steve McCoy and Grant Holland who preached in my absence and Steph and team who handled the sung worship and Lois Shipley for keeping an eye on pastoral care. A real team effort. We arrived back home to a frosty minus 2 and many work assignments pending but very thankful that we have been able to have such a wonderful break in the middle of winter. I’ve written about some highlights of this trip in the Link so check that out.
At the conclusion of both services today we will be having a forum discussion on our monthly Heritage service at Trinity. We have been running this service at 2pm monthly since February and it is time to review and get feedback on how it is going. Around 20 people have been attending this service with approximately half being involved in running it. We would like to hear from you, so please stay for this discussion if you can.
The underfloor insulation will be going in this week, starting tomorrow so, hopefully we will notice a cosier temperature throughout the building. Many thanks to the Admin property group for organising this.
Stay warm everyone!
Ngā manaakitanga,
Brent
