Plant Sale—Saturday 14 September at the St Stephens Church complex:
Pots are required—pots filled with plants and empty pots. Leave at church. Any questions or queries, please contact: Murray phone 686 1629.
Baking & Preserves Sales Table:
Alongside the Annual Plant Sale, planned for Saturday 14 September 2024, we are again running the Baking and Preserves Sales Table.
We know you have green fingers and are busy potting up your favourite flower plants, but some of you also have “golden fingers” when it comes to your amazing baking skills.
We would love you to “tempt our tastebuds” again with your favourite homemade baking treats, savoury goods and preserves. There is nothing nicer than enjoying a homemade cookie with your cuppa…..
Perhaps you would prefer to supply some baking ingredients (butter/sugar/fruit) or offer a monetary donation to assist someone else create a delicious treat?
Please leave any ingredients/money at the Church Office, or in either College/Wai‑iti Rd Church foyers (labelled “Baking Stall”) If possible, before Sunday 8 September please.

Mission Project:

Floral posies for Upcoming Plant Sale: Diane, Joy & Elaine will be making the very popular floral posies for our Plant Sale soon. They need Leucodendrons, Proteas and Spinning or Silver Dollar Gum stems (as long as possible). If you can help please deliver your contribution to, 46 Morgan’s Road on Thursday 12 September. Thank you for your help.
Toilet Roll Collection UPDATE
We now have plenty of rolls for our children’s activity. Thank you to everyone who has contributed! If you’d still like to help, we also need a supply of small yoghurt pottles (the ones that come in 6 packs). These can be dropped in the same collection boxes in the church foyer. Thank you!

Family Works Food Bank:
The Food bank gratefully receives all general sorts of items and can include the following:
- Shampoo, conditioner & Deodorants, for both men and women.
- Hand cream and soap.
- Items for children’s lunches may include: budget biscuits, muesli bars and small packets of potato chips that come in a large bag that include several flavours.
- Spreads
- 750g or less blocks of cheese.
New World Stickers:
We are once again collecting New World Stickers for the Kitchen Aid glass storage containers that we will pass on to Family Works. Please leave in both Church Foyers or the Church office.
Boys & Girls Brigade: Kindling available all year round, for sale $10 a sack. Contact Fiona 688 0375 or see me at church.
Operation Christmas Child:
You are all invited to support this by providing goods or filling your own box or making a donation. Each box is to contain a fun toy, clothing, school supplies, hygiene item and a “wow” item for boys and girls in ages 2-14 years. Please remember to include the transport cost of $12.50 per box if you complete a box. Boxes will be at each venue to put the goods in. There will also be some ideas for gifts. Final date for collection is 1 October 2024. For further information contact Linda phone 688 9366.
