Operation Christmas Child:We would like to be part of this again this year. You are all invited to support this by providing goods or filling your own box or making a donation. Each box is to contain a fun toy, clothing, school supplies, hygiene item and a “wow” item for boys and girls in ages 2-14 years.Please remember to include the transport cost of $12.50 per box if you complete a box. Boxes will be at each venue to put the goods in. There will also be some ideas for gifts.In 2023, New Zealand sent 14,107 shoeboxes to Cambodia, Ukraine, Philippines, Fiji, and Papua New Guinea.Final date for collection is 1 October 2024.For further information contact Linda phone 688 9366.
Family Works Food Bank: The Food bank gratefully receives all general sorts of items and can include the following:
- Shampoo, conditioner & Deodorants, for both men and women.
- Hand cream and soap.
- Items for children’s lunches may include: budget biscuits, muesli bars and small packets of potato chips that come in a large bag that include several flavours.
- Spreads
- 750g or less blocks of cheese.
