Mission Project:  Our Mission Project this morning will be raising funds for CWS   Turkey and Syria Earthquake appeal (Global).  Join in the bucket of Fun.

Reflections—Lent through the Gospel of John  Join us for a six week Lenten series following the lectionary through the     Gospel of John. Wednesdays at St Stephens, 349 Wai-iti Road, All  welcome.    Contact:  Rory 022 757 05156 or Helen 021 768 973.

Buy and Supply:  The current Buy and Supply project will be raising funds for Cyclone Gabrielle Relief.  This project will run for the next 6 weeks, till March 26th.

Cancer Society – Relay For Life:  Next  Saturday 11 March 10am to 10pm. Join us to form another ‘Timaru Presbyterian Team’.  Please support us by placing a   donation on the Sheet on the table in the Foyer.  Phone Neil  021 038 9229 or Murray 686 1629.

Do you have supper cloths:   When we cater for large functions in the Trinity Hall eg. funerals we are in need of supper cloths for the small side tables. If you have a spare cloth and would be willing to  donate it please contact:    Elaine ph 686 0870.

Presbyterian Women Lunch Group on Wednesday 15 March at the Worship Centre, Wai-iti Road at 12.30pm commencing with a shared lunch.   Sales Table.  Guest Speaker:  Mr John Demmer will be giving a presentation on his Milford Track walk with his Daughter Marj just   prior to NZ shutdown.   All Ladies of the Parish welcome.  Apologies or rides please contact Dianne 6860440, Dawn 6860595, Robyn 6881948.

Food Bank Items:  Suggestions from Family Works. This is as well as the usual general sort of items:

  • Shampoo, conditioner & Deodorants, for both men and women.
  • Hand cream and soap.
  • Items for children’s lunches may include: budget biscuits, muesli bars and small packets of potato chips that come in a large bag that include  several flavours.
  • Spreads
  • 750g or less blocks of cheese.

Good Friday 7 April:  Combined Worship at 10am at Craighead Auditorium.  Guest speaker:  Sean du Toit.  Offering for          Cyclone Gabrielle recovery.  A Timaru  Christian Ministers Association event.

  • Also Cyclone Gabrielle—St Andrews Church in Hastings has set up a service to bring equipment like generators, water pumps, water blasters and small diggers from around the country into Hawke’s Bay as part of the disaster response.  Called genLend, the     service is a tangible way for people across the country to help power the recovery of Hawke’s Bay communities ravaged by Cyclone Gabrielle.

Help is also being accepted in the form of financial donations for fuel, transport and     insurance etc. Donations can be made to:
