Community Gathering at Trinity Community Centre, Sunday 7 August 2pm:
Following our parish being granted funding for the “Have a Go” initiative through the Alpine Presbytery Mission Fund, we are now ready to go with the Community Garden and Community Gathering projects. The Community Garden is underway and we will be blessing the turning of the soil today .
This fits with our TPP Mission Statement: We are an outward looking church. We will engage with the people of Timaru with passion, enthusiasm and energy, Listening to and caring for community needs so people find meaning through knowing God and move forward in faith.
Can you help with serving the afternoon tea? Be part of the team welcoming and communicating with the people who come along? .
College Road Roster for Sept/Oct/Nov If you are Not available to do Roster duties on a particular date, please let me know email: admin@timarupres.org.nz or ph 686 0981 before 17 Aug, Thank you.
Eatwell Bags: Are there any at your place? If you have some please return them to the office. Thanks.
Combined Service : At St Stephens 10.30am on 21 August, followed by a budget discussion.
AFTER the combined Service: The Mission Group is having a PIZZA LUNCH to raise funds for Christian World Service’s latest project, which is the prevention of exploitation of female workers in both work and boarding house situations in Sri Lanka. COST : a donation.
Plant Sale: Saturday 17 September at St Stephens. Now is the time to pot up those plants for the Plant Sale. Contact: Murray ph 686 1629. Our sales table at St Stephens is working well making money for the Plant Sale. Can you help by adding a tray of baking, Jam or preserves. Price up and leave on table Contact: Bev Ph 686 0858
Bible Society Cheese-roll fund raiser: To be made Sat. 13 Aug and Sat. 27 Aug for distribution at church following Sundays.
We will use Molenberg bread as a third option, but because it is more expensive and there are less slices per bread, it will be $1 more per doz. Prices: Normal white or brown bread: $7 per doz, $25 for 4 doz; Molenberg bread: $8 per doz and $30 for 4 doz.
