Hospice Awareness Week: 16—22 May .

As part of this special week your Hospice would like to invite you to the following free events:

  • Advanced Care Planning—Your life, your health.
  • Burning of the cards from the Farmers Tree of Remembrance Campaign.
  • Supporting Grieving Children.
  • Wills, Power of Attorney, Leaving a Legacy.

You are welcome to join in a guided tour through the Hospice after any of these events. Ph 03 687 7670 for more information. See poster in foyer for dates and times.

Mission Group : It’s time to get those knitting needles clicking again! We have been advised by Family Works that they would really appreciate some winter knitting again. Perhaps you can help? Here are their suggestions:

  • Baby Singlets
  • Fingerless gloves (for children)
  • Jerseys (3 – 10year olds)
  • Slippers and socks – all sizes
  • Cot size or single bed size blankets.

Due to the big demand for food parcels, Family Works are in need of empty egg cartons – 6’s and 12’s to refill. These can be put in the food bank box, or near by. At the moment Family Works are making up food boxes for those folk isolating from COVID. They need good used magazines to be included in the boxes. There will be a labelled carton in each church foyer for these.
