Treasurer’s Report:

Half the financial year is over. We were tracking well with income slightly above budget and expenditure slightly below. Unfortunately the Property Investment Fund (which holds the moneys from sale of property) has dropped interest rates. They were 3.25% but have been reduced to 2.5%. This means a drop in our interest income of around $18,000.00 for the year. To a certain extent a drop in interest rates was expected but not to that degree! This will mean we will be nearer or over our budgeted deficit of $68,000.00. On a positive note our income from rent has continued strong. As always if anyone has a good idea for fundraising I’m sure the committee would love to hear it.
