Retiring offering (Trinity) and Bucket Mission (St Stephens) This week will go to support the families of the Christchurch Mosque shootings last month. We have all been touch in some way by this horrific event and this is just a small way in which we can respond and show the love of Christ.
Bible Society Cheese-rolls: Our cheese-rolls will be distributed on Sunday 12 May and 26 May. Could you please order them from Alison (688 4317), Margaret (688 2363) or Evi (684 5399). Money raised will be for Bibles in prisons.

Good Companions: will meet at St Stephens lounge on 9 May, 2pm . Speaker: Jan Mawell-Hey will speak on her North of the South Island Rail Trip. All welcome.
Cultural Dinner: at St Stephens, Saturday 18, May at 6pm. This will be a Brazilian Celebration. Please mark the Clipboard if you would like to attend and if you could help with the preparation. Tickets available at the office. $15p.p.

Hospice Awareness Week: Your Hospice wish to encourage conversations around death, dying, grief and advanced care planning. From May 14-16th there are three, free, informative events in Timaru. Mission Group : advise that Sunday 19, May will be the cut off day for the first collection of knitted goods to be delivered to Hanan and Kowhai Kindergartens. Please keep knitting, if you can, as there will be another delivery to these kindys towards the end of Term 2, which is late June. Wool and patterns are still available in the foyers of Trinity and St Stephens. A huge thanks to our wonderful knitters, your efforts are truly appreciated.
Buy and Supply :will continue until the end of May. These proceeds will be to defray expenses when members of the Eat Well team provide fruit and vegetables for the Kindergarten cooking. This term we will begin a cooking session at Hanan as well as Kowhai Kindergarten.
Calling all keen sewers !!! Some weeks there are barely enough cloth bags to pack the Eat Well produce into. We have donated fabric and measurements to give you. If you are interested please contact Joy phone 686 1656, for more information.
