Thought For The Week 13 May 2018

This week Brent and I have been putting our thinking caps on as we prepare for our “Caring for Creation” sermon series, beginning at Queen’s birthday weekend.  We are blessed to live in a rich and fruitful world, and, as God’s children we are called to participate in God’s care for creation.  Are we doing a good job?

We will be preaching on a series of topics, including “Why should we care?”; “Climate change, fact or fiction?”; “The human cost of climate change”; “Our reaction: Doom, Gloom or Bloom?”; and “Caring for creation in our own lives”.

In our research we have come across the Christian environmentalist group “A Rocha” who have prepared small group studies on this topic.  If you would like to participate in these studies, then please contact Rory or Brent.  If you would like to learn more about A Rocha, then you can visit their website www.arocha.org.nz
