Community Gathering at Trinity Community Centre, Sunday 7 August 2pm:
Following our parish being granted funding for the “Have a Go” initiative through the Alpine Presbytery Mission Fund, we are now ready to go with the Community Garden and Community Gathering projects. The Community Garden is underway and we will be blessing the turning of the soil that day. Advertising is underway to the South Timaru communities to come along and share stories, offer suggestions for activities they would like to be part of and any other conversations that might occur. This fits with our TPP Mission Statement: We are an outward looking church. We will engage with the people of Timaru with passion, enthusiasm and energy, Listening to and caring for community needs so people find meaning through knowing God and move forward in faith.
Can you help with serving the afternoon tea? Be part of the team welcoming and communicating with the people who come along? We will really enjoy your support in this parish mission initiative. Please Ph Helen 021 768 973 or Joy 686 1656.
